Jira

Lyse integrates with Jira to turn Design System updates into tickets, without manual ticket creation.

Once Jira is configured in the Lyse web app, section App Integration, changes captured from Figma can be created directly as tickets in the right Jira project, keeping product and design aligned.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Jira, make sure you have:

  • Access to your Atlassian account settings to generate an API token

  • An active session in the Lyse web app

Required fields

Personal Access Token

Lyse uses an API token to authenticate with Jira.

In Atlassian:

  1. Go to Account settings then Security

  2. Click Create API token

  3. Give the token a clear name, for example Lyse-Automation

  4. Create the token and copy it

Get Jira's Personal Access Token

In the Lyse web app:

  1. Go to App Integration then Jira

  2. Paste the token into the Personal Access Token field

Atlassian Domain

Enter the domain of your Jira workspace, for example:
your-domain.atlassian.net

This tells Lyse where to send API calls.

Get Atlassian Domain

3. Email address

Enter the email address you use to log in to Jira. It must match the account that owns the API token.

4. Project

Select the Jira project where Lyse should create tickets, for example Design System. All Lyse generated tickets will be created in this project. You can still adjust fields and workflows inside Jira as usual.

Connection status

Once these fields are saved, your Jira account is connected to Lyse. From there, every supported change captured from your Figma library can be turned into Jira tickets in a few seconds, following the workflow you defined in the rest of the setup.
